Student Clinic

**All clinic sessions take place at our MassageLab location: 2973 16th Street, Ground Floor (@ Mission Street). Please call us at 415-660-7727 if you require more information or directions.

To schedule a massage session, please use our convenient online booking system. You will be able to choose an appointment time that works best for you and will receive instant confirmation upon booking.

• All sessions are $50 per hour. Your 60-minute session will include a brief intake interview by your student practitioner.
• You will be paired with a student practitioner by our Clinic Manager.
• Your reservation guarantees you a full-body Swedish (relaxation) massage – and, if your practitioner is trained in additional advanced techniques, you will be able to request them during your intake interview.
• All appointments must be paid in full at time of booking – Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and all debit cards accepted.
• We cannot accept tips.
• Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to check-in.
• We are unable to accommodate requests for male or female student massage practitioners.
• PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of our student clinic environment, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate Pregnancy Massage requests at this time.
• Please be mindful of SFSM’s cancellation policy (see details below).

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

The following are policies to which you agree to abide by when you book a session in the San Francisco School of Massage & Bodywork Student Clinic.

COVID-19 Safety Measures and Procedures (updated 5/1/2023)

• The wearing of a face mask is optional for both client and practitioner effective 5/1/2023
• HEPA filter air purifiers will be running during and after the massage session in each treatment area
• Practitioner will sanitize hands immediately before performing work on client and immediately after the session is complete before leaving the massage room
• Clients should sanitize hands before exiting the massage room
• Student practitioners will thoroughly clean and wipe down massage table and face cradle after each client 
• Massage treatment areas will be ventilated between sessions

Business Policies

• SFSM observes a 24 hour cancellation/reschedule policy. If a cancellation or reschedule is made less than 24 hours and up to 1 hour prior to the start of the session a $10 fee will be assessed. Any cancellations or reschedules made less than 1 hour prior to the start time of the session will be charged the total session rate.
• Your session may be cancelled if you are 15 minutes or more late and have not called to alert SFSM and will be considered a “No-show”.
• “No-shows” for appointments will be charged the total fee for their scheduled session.
• A valid credit card is required to reserve an appointment.
• Our online scheduling partner, MINDBODY.com, will send out an email reminder for appointments 24 hours prior to your scheduled session. However, keeping your appointment is solely your responsibility whether a confirmation email or phone call is received or not; these are just offered as a courtesy.
• In the event that your student massage therapist calls out sick, we will try our best to accommodate your session with another student. If we are unable to reschedule you with another student, we will contact you as soon as possible to assist in rescheduling your appointment for a future date.
• Massage sessions will begin and end promptly at the scheduled times. If you are late, your session will not be extended past your scheduled end-time, and you are still responsible for the entire fee for your session.
